Meet Mark Shervill: Why I’m Proud to Be Ambassador No.1 for Tees

Hi, I’m Mark Shervill, and I’m incredibly proud to be joining Tees as Ambassador No.1.

For me, this is about much more than golf. It’s about people, community, courage, and creating an environment where the game can genuinely make a difference in people’s lives. That’s what first drew me to Tees, and it’s why I’m so excited to be part of what we are building.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to work with golfers of all ages and abilities, helping people improve their game, enjoy the sport more, and feel the benefits that golf can bring both on and off the course. I’ve been coaching for more than 25 years, including time spent coaching on the Men’s European Tour.

Recently, Lisa and I were honoured to be named Participation & Development Coaches of the Year at the 2026 England Golf Awards. It was a proud moment for both of us, not just because of the award itself, but because it recognised something we care deeply about: growing the game and helping transform lives through golf.

That’s exactly why Tees feels like such a natural fit.

What I love about Tees is that it stands for something bigger. Yes, it’s rooted in golf, but it’s also rooted in wellbeing, connection and the belief that this game can bring people together in a really powerful way. I’ve always believed golf is at its best when it feels welcoming, supportive and enjoyable; not intimidating, exclusive or overly complicated. Tees shares that belief, and that’s why I wanted to get involved from the very beginning.

As part of the Tees community, I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and helping in practical ways. That includes hosting clinics, creating golf improvement content, sharing ideas and advice that golfers can actually use, and helping build a community that starts where so much of golf starts: from the tee box up.

For me, that means helping people feel comfortable taking their first step, giving improving golfers the right support and encouragement, and reminding all of us that golf is supposed to be enjoyed. Whether that’s through simple coaching tips, group sessions, community events or just creating a more open and positive environment, I want to help Tees become a place where people feel they belong.

There’s a real opportunity here to build something special; a community that supports people not only in playing better golf, but in feeling better too.

I’m delighted to be part of the journey, and I can’t wait to help grow the Tees community in the months ahead.

See you on the tee box.
